💐THANK YOU!! 💐They say it takes a village…so today, I want to thank YOU! Yes YOU reading this post!🤗 YOU are the reason I feel like I am able to be a good mother. YOU have supported us in trying to keep family first! YOU are the reason I get to have a full-time career AND be a full-time mom! As our youngest child turns 7 years old this month, it is humbling to look back and see that he is the true heart of the business! He has been my little helper all along the way! While I did not begin the business 10 years ago with him in mind, he is now my WHY and my biggest motivation to work hard and never give up!!!
Thank you for choosing to support a small business!!! Not only does this strengthen the local economy and keep money in the community, but it means a more personal experience as well. For us, it allows for strong family values with quality time because a work-life balance actually became possible! You aren’t making a CEO a billionaire - you are putting food on the table for our family dinners, helping to pay school tuition for local schools, and creates the ability for me to be present in my child’s life. I get to take my son to school each day AND pick him up AND take him to baseball practice AND read books with him AND tuck him in at night AND….. the list goes on!!!! YOU have supported us through many seasons and we cannot thank you enough!!!
*2014 = many lifestyle changes!!! I decided to pursue massage therapy in order to create a better life for myself in a more positive environment. Mindfulness & intention is key! Never underestimate the power of planting the seed 🫶🏻 DO THE THING!!!
*2015 = quit my job to pursue massage therapy full-time. I was working out of a salon only charging $20-$25/massage (🤦🏻♀️not smart, ha!) I then pursued Neuromuscular Therapy & Advanced Deep Tissue as I thought it would be helpful to get into more clinical work
*2016 = my first year at the chiropractic office & I decided to make Open Arms Massage LLC official! Created a website with online booking, learned the ins and outs of business
*2017 = decided to pursue my Personal Training Certification. I loved weight-lifting and training while doing scans and postural analysis! I traveled around a lot doing hundreds of chair massages while promoting healthy lifestyle choices
*2018 = got married & got pregnant ! (All that hard work getting into shape just to get pregnant 🤷🏻♀️haha) Sold my house in Little Chute to move to a house in Appleton with my husband
*2019 = gave massages until 40 weeks pregnant! Finally, Jack was born! ❤️ I leased office space by our house to be able to breastfeed between massage appointments. Experimented with kinesiology taping
*2020 = COVID shut down!!! I decided to move into my current private office for a one-on-one experience in hopes of still being able to work and help support our family
*2021 = face masks at the office, daycares were limited, and my step-son had to stay at home to do school virtually. With more time at home, I was able to study Corrective Exercise to learn how to train to stay out of pain
*2022 = between 2019-2022, we had so many loved ones pass and go through loss. From cancer diagnosis and losing jobs to the loss of family/friends/pets. It was a hard time with a lot of heartbreak for many people 💜
*2023 = Jack started full days at school! I was able to workout more, which I found helpful for mental health. I began volunteering and doing more events to pour back into the community. Also, we had a 16 year old new driver on our hands! Even though we helped him get a safe vehicle, it still needed a lot of work and TLC 🙏
*2024 = began looking for my first employee! I also attempted to have my husband join the business by doing reflexology foot massages! Him and I also started another business with healthy food/meals to-go! Unfortunately, NONE OF THIS WORKED OUT! Put a pin in it I guess! Maybe revisit, maybe not…haha!
*2025 = We have a college boy on our hands! Tuition costs a pretty penny. Attempted to do office share, but decided I love to work and realistically I am at the office too much to actually share! Maybe one day I would consider stepping away a little bit more. In the meantime, I obtained my Myofascial Release Certification. This type of bodywork is so intriguing to me!
*2026 = no major events YET (besides navigating this economy!!!) I plan to do more continuing education and learn more about how to use social media (maybe, 🤣)
🥰We are truly blessed to STILL have your support!!THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 🥰
