Happy World Down Syndrome Day from Expressive Therapies!

World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated every March 21st, to represent the triplication of the 21st chromosome in people with Down Syndrome.

You can celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing mismatched socks for all to see! This can be a great conversation starter and chance to advocate for individuals with DS. It can also make the holiday more recognizable to others.

Music in Motion, a collaboration event between the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra, Expressive Therapies, and your Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, is returning for community members to join in the sensory-inclusive experience.
Designed with guests of all abilities in mind, Music in Motion blends live symphonic music with a welcoming environment that encourages movement, participation and fun. Attendees are invited to join in the music-making using handheld instruments and colorful scarves (provided at the event), while enjoying flexible seating, consistent lighting, and open areas for those who prefer to move during the performance.
