Here are your lunch & dinner plans for today:
The Appleton American Legion Post No. 38 will extend the hours of their weekly Brat Fry to be from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., THIS WEDNESDAY, and will direct ALL of the proceeds from that day’s efforts to the Old Glory Honor Flight. The goal is to exceed the amount that was raised at the 2024 event for Old Glory Honor Flight, which was $7,500.00. 💰
🍔🌭Menu options include brats, hot dogs, single, double, and triple hamburgers, chips, and refreshments. It is requested that large orders are called in ahead of time at 920.733.9840.
Other features at this year’s event include:
· The Wisconsin Vietnam Memorial Wall will be on display. The wall recognizes the 1,248 veterans from Wisconsin that were killed during the conflict and those that remain missing in action. Steve Conto (U.S. Navy, retired) did all the research and created the wall. The wall will be setup from Tuesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon. 🫡
· Corn on the cob will be available courtesy of The Bar - Lynndale. 🌽
· American Legion Auxiliary Unit 38 - members will be selling sweet treats. 🍪
· Entertainment by Music6S from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Members include Jarrod Coulter, Commander of the Appleton American Legion Post 38, and other musicians who are serving or have served in the military. Music6s (M6S) believes music is more than just sound—it’s a source of healing, connection, and hope. As a nonprofit organization, they provide free music education and performance opportunities to men and women facing mental health challenges like PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
