Fall comfort foods for people with IBD
The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation recommend protein-rich foods for people with inflammatory bowel disease .

This includes chicken, turkey, tofu, eggs, fish, yogurt, beans, and nut butters. Cooked and peeled fruits like apples, apple sauce and cooked pumpkin puree are good additions to a smoothie or cup of yogurt.

Pumpkin contains fiber which is beneficial for the digestive tract.

On crisp cool days, consider sipping steamy chicken broth to warm things up. Also remember that eating small frequent meals or snacks is easier on the gut.

Did you know daily movement can help you manage pesky hemorrhoids? Long periods of sitting can trigger swelling.

This can happen because lack of movement slows blood circulation which can contribute to the problem. Reminder - take breaks from your desk, stretch and move around. Your bottom will thank you.
