Alliance Physical Therapy was established to meet the needs of an underserved population. We pride ourselves in our ability to deliver high-quality, evidence based physical therapy in a holistic manner to a group of people who have not had access to exceptional health care. We are community oriented and find much reward in providing for those in need. We are looking to hire an additional patient services representative / front desk receptionist to assist in managing our patients' needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Patient Care Management: Provides direct and administrative support for the patient care experience from beginning to end
- Welcomes and greets patients entering clinic and calling by phone
- Optimizes patient and provider experience by scheduling appointments to support clinic and patient’s needs (telehealth and in-person)
- Organizes and maintains patient file and accounts, communicates relevant information to physical therapists
- Collects payments
- Checks and maintains patient health benefits and insurance eligibility monthly
- Receives and organizes patient referrals and ensures patients all set up to begin physical therapy sessions
- Submits for treatment authorization through online portal system for insurance reimbursement
- Creates and sends out invoices for payments due by patients and other providers
- Responds to subpoenas, medical record requests, and patient care requests from other providers
- Covid-19 Protocols: Participates in keeping our clinic safe and Covid-19 free
- Enforces Covid-19 clinic protocols, including sanitizing workspaces, screening patients, and communicating office protocols to staff and patients
- Office Administration: Ensures clinic is run professionally and efficiently
- Manages voicemail, clinic email account, and fax
- Retrieves and sorts incoming mail and packages, sends outgoing mail
- Updates and informs clinic employees of clinic processes and procedures
- Supports the billing department, tracks incoming payments and EOBs, and makes bank deposits
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in medical office desired
- Compassionate, empathetic, and caring personality
- Committed to personal growth and skill development
- Team player
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timelines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to speak Spanish is desired, but not required
- Ability to use and troubleshoot multi-line phone, scanner, printer, and fax
- Experience with checking insurance benefits and submitting for authorization
