It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Agnes Cecelia Johnson,
of Waldorf, Maryland, on
Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the age of 79. Agnes was the beloved wife of Robert L. Johnson, Jr. She was born on June 11, 1946, in Welcome, Maryland, to the late Richard N. Savoy Sr., and the late Cora E. Muschette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard N. Savoy Sr., and Cora E. Muschette, her beloved daughter, Veronica (Rhonee) Johnson Patten, and siblings, Richard Savoy, Margie Sias, Shirley Savoy, and Helen Mason.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Robert L. Johnson Jr., she was a devoted mother to Quinten Johnson (Debbie), Bridgette Greathouse (Kelvin), Cherie Wallace (Mike), and son-in-law Jeffrey Patten, and a cherished grandmother to Ian, Shamika, Danielle, Cherise, and Jarvis. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Samir, and Shiloh. Agnes is survived by her sister, Sharon Turner (Darnell) and brother Carl Savoy (Theresa), along with her treasured dog, Jasper, who brought her much joy and companionship, and extended family and friends who will deeply miss her warmth and kindness.
Visitation will be held on

St. Joseph Catholic Parish Center,

Pomfret, Maryland 20675

from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.; reflections and visitation will

continue until 10:40 a.m.

We are deeply saddened to share the death of our loved one, Lovell Thomas of Capitol Heights, Maryland, on

Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at age 72. Lovell is survived by one son,

Christopher Thomas; and one grandson, Miles Thomas. He is also survived by his sisters, Gale Thomas, Lenora Thomas, and Cynthia Parker; and a brother, Marvin Pinkney (Alicia); in addition to a host of other relatives and friends.

Lovell was preceded in death by his father, James (Leon) Thomas;

his mother, Lauretta Thomas; his sister, Peggy Williams; his brother, Michael Thomas; and his wife of twenty-four years, Wendi Thomas.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel,

Aquasco, Maryland 20608.

Please consider taking your DD214 (Military Discharge) paperwork to any Maryland Veterans Cemetery to fill out an application for reservation in advance. Please be aware that as of October 1, 2025 prices have changed for the following. (Burial Charge for members of the National Guard, Reserves, and their dependents is $1,002.
