Good Morning Everyone!

Arapaho Language Early Childhood Learning Center
Fall Registration: Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm
Registration will take place at both sites:
Ethete- 647 Blue Sky Hwy. Ethete, WY - 82520
Arapahoe- 9 Great Plains Rd. Arapahoe, WY 82510

Language is a connection between caregiver and child. Ensuring that our People continue to speak Arapaho language is paramount to preserving our story and ancestry. It is critical that we work hard to incorporate it into our Arapaho Language & Culture Early Learning Center so that our infants, toddlers and preschool children can hear it spoken both at home and in the Center, daily. This will result in a new generation of emerging Arapaho language speakers.

To fulfill our responsibilities toward our sacred children, we are going to shape their early childhood education guided by Arapaho values. It is paramount that we build the capacity of our local communities through ongoing training and education for staff and parents. Holistically, we are passing the gift of Arapaho language to our children and their families, just as we received this gift from our elders. We firmly believe that our little ones deserve to experience our language, culture, and traditions and that our staff are capable of embedding our Arapaho knowledge systems in their daily lives.

This coming academic year, all parents will be expected to assist us in achieving the desired level of involvement needed to reach our Arapaho language goals. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Spoonhunter at the Ethete site or Ms. Goggles at the Arapahoe site. Hohou

Good evening!
"Wind River Family and Community Health Care would like to thank all the families that came out to our First Annual Back To School Bash! We distributed over 700 backpacks, packed with a variety of school supplies-- customized by each kiddo. We'd also like to thank each of the staff and community partners who helped with set-up, clean-up, supply distribution, cooking, serving, and everything in between! Our Student Interns were an integral part of planning this event, as well, so we want to highlight the time, effort, and planning they put into making this event a success! We are grateful for the community support. We looked forward to continuing to host family events like this in the future! Hohou!

Good evening everyone,

Meet Ethan Forbis, one of our Student Interns here at Wind River Family and Community Health Care. As part of his internship, Ethan is undertaking a Public Health Project focused on Heart Health. The goal of this project is to collect statistical data on risk factors for cardiovascular disease within the Wind River Indian Reservation. In addition, Ethan aims to identify potential disparities in access to resources that support a heart-healthy lifestyle for the community. By highlighting these gaps, the project seeks to inform efforts that address these disparities and ultimately improve the overall standard of living for our community.

You can help Ethan with his project by taking the survey linked below. The survey is designed to take only a few minutes to complete. Please be assured that all responses are entirely anonymous and confidential. No personal information will be connected to your answers; instead the data will be analyzed in aggregate to identify trends and opportunities for improvement within our community. Thank you!

Good evening everyone,
Meet Elianna Duran, one of our Student Interns here at Wind River Cares. As part of her internship, Elianna is doing a Public Health Project focusing on Substance Use Prevention. She sees that Native American communities often grapple with generational trauma and violence, leading many to resort to unhealthy coping mechanisms. With this project, Elianna would like to enhance our understanding of the prevalence of substance use within the community and identify the specific areas where individuals are experiencing difficulties. She believes that "as a community, we share a collective responsibility; when one of us is in pain, we all feel the impact. "

You can help Elianna with her project by taking the survey linked below. The survey is designed to only take a few minutes to complete. Please be assured that all responses are entirely anonymous and confidential. No personal information will be connected to your answers; instead, the data will be analyzed in aggregate to identify trends and opportunities for improvement within our community, Thank you!
