New CDC study finds one in five adults ages 18–64 years and one in four ages 65 years and older who survived COVID-19 had a new condition at least 4 weeks after their COVID-19 illness that may be associated with the past illness. Regardless of age, adult COVID-19 survivors had twice the risk of developing a blood clot in the lung or a new respiratory condition.

New testing program designed to increase and facilitate access to COVID-19 tests for LA County residents unable to obtain appointments. The Pick-Up Testing Kit program allows residents to pick up a PCR test kit, perform the test and return the completed test to designated sites for processing. Residents will be notified of their test results within 24-48 hours.

Pick-Up Testing Kits will be available without an appointment and until daily supplies are exhausted at designated locations. In alignment with all our LA County operated testing locations, the Pick-Up Testing Kits will also be concurrently testing for COVID-19 and Influenza (A and B).

Note: The Pick-Up Testing Kit is a PCR test that requires individuals to register, self-test and return completed test for results. These kits are not rapid test kits.

Pick-Up Testing Kits are provided at no cost to you if you meet the following criteria:

Have symptoms of COVID-19, OR
Think you were exposed to COVID-19.

You can now pick up a free COVID-19 testing kit at 13 different locations across the County, thanks to L.A. County Health Services' new Pick-up Testing Kit program.
Testing kits are available until daily supplies last.
No appointment is needed!
