New Life Midwifery Birth Centers Chemin Perez, LM, CPM, Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife founded New Life Midwifery i The Midwifery model of care is holistic.

We offer support for childbirth at home throughout Los Angeles County. Midwives believe that pregnancy and birth are almost always normal, healthy physiologic events which function best when they are interferred with least. Midwifery care offers an alternative to mainstream obstetrical care for women: optimizing health outcomes and satisfaction emphasizing the women and her family's active participation in her pregnancy care and minimizing unnecessary and potentially harmful intervention. It focuses on the way in which mothers can prepare their bodies and mind for the work of growing, birthing, feeding healthy babies, while at the same time finding themselves in their new role as mothers. Midwives serve as guardians of “healthy and normal”, walking with women and guiding them through their childbearing year. Midwives are trained to identify conditions which fall outside the normal spectrum of childbearing and refer to higher level obstetrical care when necessary. We aim to surround families with resources and deeply personalized care to optimize healthy outcomes and your experience of pregnancy and birth

Happy Tuesday everyone! New Life Midwifery will be holding Community Day on Saturday November 28 at 1:30 pm. The address is: 223 Santa Anita Ct. Sierra Madre 91024. Feel free to come by and look through our gently used baby clothes/items and take home what you would like.

**If anyone is available to come that morning to help set up, we would greatly appreciate it. Additionally, if you are able to donate bottled water/coconut water and/or healthy snacks to be shared at Community Day, please let us know :) You can bring them on the 28th, to the address listed above. If you are not available to attend Community Day, but would like to help by donating the above requested food/drink items, please bring to the birth center on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (except on Thanksgiving) between 9am-4pm. If you have any questions please call us at 626-538-4813. We look forward to seeing you at Community Day!
