We are excited to be opening the application cycle for our Medieval Polish Bioarchaeology Field Program. We are returning for our second field season (Jul.2nd -20th, 2015) and are looking forward to providing students with hands-on experience in bioarchaeology at this very unique site. On Thursday, November 29th from 6-9 PM in the Native Forum will be the FIRST ANNUAL HUMBOLDT ANTHROPOLOGY SYMPOSIUM FOR UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH.

This event is FREE and open to all! Please join us for an opportunity to witness independent research conducted by undergraduate students in Anthropology. Presentations will cover topics of culture, archaeology, medicine, and primate studies in a variety of poster and brief podium presentations.

The event starts at 6:00 PM, with time to view posters and discuss research topics with the students responsible, refreshments will be served!

FOCUS GROUP! A group of women from the HSU Anthropology Department(Kit Boisvert-Meyer, Alisha Gaskins, Mary Glenn, May Patiño, Marissa Ramsier) are conducting a study on mother, infant, and child health and feeding choices. They are looking for mothers and grandmothers to participate in 1-hour focus groups on March 25, 2012 at Humboldt State University:
*Mothers or grandmothers of children 4-weeks to 6-months old
*Mothers or grandmothers of children 6-months to 5-years old that were breastfed for 6 months or longer
