🦵💪 Master the Hip Hinge – Protect Your Back & Boost Your Strength!
The hip hinge is one of the most important movement patterns for daily life and athletic performance. It’s the foundation for exercises like deadlifts, kettlebell swings, and even picking something up off the floor.
Why it matters:
✅ Protects your lower back by loading your hips instead of your spine
✅ Improves hamstring & glute strength
✅ Enhances performance in sports and daily activities
✅ Builds a strong foundation for safe lifting mechanics

✅ The purpose of the clamshell is to isolate hip abduction, while maintaining pelvic stability ⚖️

✨ Shoulder Wall Windmill Stretch ✨
This stretch is great for improving shoulder mobility, thoracic rotation, and posture. By opening up the chest and moving through a full range of motion, it helps counteract stiffness from sitting, lifting, or training. Runners, lifters, and overhead athletes can all benefit from adding this into their warm-up or recovery routine.
👉 Try 5–8 slow circles per side, focusing on smooth, controlled movement.

🛑 If you are struggling to make it through the full motion, maybe we should talk.

Limited shoulder mobility can impact lifting, throwing, pressing, and even daily tasks like reaching overhead or fastening a seatbelt. 🚗💪
That’s where physical therapy comes in:

🤨What is Blood Flow Restriction (BFR)?! 💃🏼

➡️ it utilizes cuffs that work by partially restricting venous blood flow out of a limb while allowing arterial blood to still enter. This controlled restriction creates a unique training environment that lets you get strength and hypertrophy benefits with much lighter weights 😱—usually 20–30% of a 1-rep max 🏋🏼‍♀️

🤙🏽 We use blood flow restriction to get stronger without stressing the healing tissue. BFR cuffs help bridge the gap when you can’t lift heavy but still need to build strength. A great tool in the rehab toolbox!! 😉
