Our Office noticed about a week ago, that CMS/CGS (Medicare) had made an error in regards to our enrollment with them from 4/1/2024 thru 8/6/2025. We immediately contacted CGS about the error and were informed that back in August they had sent a letter to us in regards to the enrollment update, however, our Office never and still have not received the letter they sent us. It is being assumed that it was lost in the mail. We immediately had them start looking into the error and were told a representative would contact us. Two days later they did, and we were told that they would contact CMS (Medicare) and get back with us, in 3 to 10 days. In the meantime, however, we have heard from some of our former patient's that Medicare is now requesting all monies sent back to them from each patient that received care at our Office after 4/1/2024, even though the issue still has not been resolved yet. To the best of our knowledge from what we can tell in talking with CGS, is that someone in the enrollment Office deactivated our enrollment with Medicare around 8/6/2025, and then in error backdated it to April 2024. We left another message last Thursday with the representative at CGS in regards to the latest notification we received and are awaiting a call back/response from them.
We apologize for all of this. It is nothing our Office did, and we are attempting to get this all resolved ASAP and are in continual communication with the representative at CGS that is trying to assist us in contacting and resolving the issue with the enrollment department, who unfortunately we are unable to speak with directly. This has all been so frustrating for us, and we know it is even more so for you. We will keep you posted thru our page as we work to get this issue resolved promptly.
