From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
When we first launched 2morrow Needs You, it was born out of loss, love, and a deep desire to make sure no one in our community ever questioned their worth or their tomorrow. What started as a conversation across the dinner table between two friends grieving the unimaginable— a father and a grandfather both lost to su***de—quickly became something much bigger than us. It became a movement of hope.
Over the last two years, we’ve watched hundreds of people show up. To walk, to run, to sponsor, to serve. To carry signs of remembrance and celebration. To raise awareness for mental health and say, together, that tomorrow really does need you.
It’s with a mix of gratitude and heaviness that we share: after much prayer, reflection, and consideration, we’ve decided to end 2morrow Needs You 5K.
This is not a decision made lightly. It comes from a place of recognizing the season of life we’re both in—raising kids, navigating full plates, and prioritizing our own mental health, too. In many ways, this is us practicing what we preach: listening to what we need, honoring our limits, and stepping back with grace rather than running on empty.
We still believe deeply in the message. We still carry the mission in our bones. And we will continue to live it out differently now—through our children, our homes, our churches, and the way we love our neighbors.
If there’s one thing we hope people take away from these past two years, it’s this: never underestimate the power of checking in, showing up, and reminding someone that they matter. We pray that ripple continues long after the race ends, that it will inspire all those who took part in it to continue the work with us in the walls of your homes and each of your little corners of the world.
Thank you for being a part of this story. For giving, sponsoring, running, praying, and standing beside us. The impact made cannot be measured, and we give all the glory to God for the lives touched.
With love and sincere gratitude,
Kenzi Reddick and Lauren Hedrick
