UPDATE - August 16, 2024: We are pleased to announce that HCA Midwest Health and Aetna have finalized an agreement that ensures Aetna Medicare Advantage members can continue receiving care at Cass Regional Medical Center. Aetna Medicare Advantage members will remain in-network with Cass Regional and its affiliated clinic locations.

We understand there has been some concern and confusion regarding the ability of patients with Aetna insurance to use Cass Regional Medical Center and its affiliated clinics. As part of our management agreement with HCA, we participate in HCA’s managed care contracts. HCA has been negotiating its hospital agreements with Aetna for its Medicare Advantage products. HCA has been working with Aetna to reach an agreement that meets the needs of both parties before the current contract expires, and recently reached an extension to continue the current agreement through August 31, 2024.
HCA is still negotiating with Aetna and remains optimistic that they will reach an agreement. Please note that this only impacts the Aetna Medicare Advantage products – our contracts with Aetna commercial products are unaffected.
