"My name is Dr. John Hemingson. I’ve been a chiropractor nearly eight years. I have practiced the Gonstead technique the entire time and the more that I practice the Gonstead technique the more that I love it.
I’ve been married for 17 years and have four children. Boy (15), girl (12), boy (8) and girl (5). My wife is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I am from a small town in central Minnesota, Paynesville. We met in undergrad.
An interesting thing about me is that I played high-level baseball and while I was in high school I had two different personal tryouts for the Minnesota Twins. My position was catcher.
Another interesting fact is that for the last five years, I have eaten 80-90% beef for my diet. I began it as an experiment and felt so incredibly energized and low inflammation that I decided to continue doing it. I also enjoy fruit, certain vegetables, raw dairy, herbal supplements and the occasional treat.
Besides chiropractic, I have played acoustic guitar for nearly 20 years. I am a Christian and my faith plays a pivotal role in my day-to-day interactions and life purpose. A quote that I live by is “Change the world! Start at home.”
