In honor of the holiday season, we're taking some time to be with our loved ones, and we hope you are too!

AFC will be closing at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be completely closed on Christmas Day. But if you need us, we'll return to our normal hours, ready to provide you with the same friendly care, starting Dec. 26. ❤️

RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) is very common in young children and can cause more serious symptoms in the youngest age groups.

Children can catch RSV at any age, but the highest risk for significant symptoms is in:
• Infants and toddlers under 2 years old
• Babies under 6 months, who may have more trouble breathing or feeding
• Children with asthma, chronic lung conditions, or weakened immune systems

Common RSV Symptoms in Children:
• Persistent cough
• Wheezing or noisy breathing
• Fast or labored breathing
• Fever
• Runny nose or congestion
• Decreased appetite
• Irritability or trouble sleeping
• In infants: pauses in breathing, lethargy, or difficulty feeding

Because RSV spreads easily through coughs, sneezes, shared toys, and surfaces, outbreaks in daycares and schools are common.

If your child is struggling to breathe, has a worsening cough, signs of dehydration, or severe symptoms, AFC is here to help.

Norovirus is making its rounds, and it’s one of the easiest stomach bugs to catch.

Just a tiny amount of the virus can spread through food, water, surfaces, or close contact, which is why outbreaks happen so quickly.

Most people recover at home, but dehydration can become serious fast, especially for kids, older adults, and anyone with weakened immunity.

If symptoms are severe, persistent, or you’re struggling to stay hydrated, AFC is here to help.
