Our 1st Annual Valentine’s Party was a big hit! 💕
Ms. Gentle and Mr. Griffin were crowned Mr. and Ms. Elk River 2026.

A heartfelt thank-you to our Therapy Department, receptionist, HR, nursing staff, Julie from the community for capturing photos, Main Strokes Academy for the ladies’ makeup and nails, Mildred for hair, and the entire Admin team for making this event so special.

We already can’t wait for next year!

Celebrity Bingo was a huge hit today!
We were thrilled to welcome the Survival Flight Team of Ardmore for a fun-filled game of Celebrity Bingo. 21 of our residents participated, and the room was full of laughter, smiles, and excitement!

Elk River Nursing Home Valentine’s Dance – February 13th ❤️

The Elk River Nursing Home Activity and Therapy department is excited to host a Valentine’s Dance for our residents on February 13th! Residents are encouraged to wear formal or semi-formal attire to make the evening extra special.

We are asking for your help in a few ways:

Volunteers, including cosmetology students, to assist with makeup and hairstyling.
Donations of dresses, suits, and ties so residents can look their best for the dance.

In search of Police Officers, Firemen, non profits and other First Responders or Public Figures that would be willing to come and call bingo for 30-45 minutes, one time this upcoming year.

I’m lining up a “celebrity” bingo series at Elk River Health and Nursing Center of Ardmore. The idea is that on the 3rd Monday of the month at 1:30pm we have a “celebrity bingo caller” from the community. In return, our residents will treat you to snacks an fellowship for a few minutes after. We would like to have a different volunteer each month.

This afternoon as we come together not just as coworkers, but as a family. Our Elk River team pours their hearts into what they do every single day, and it was truly special to pause, celebrate, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company this Christmas season.

A very special thank-you to our Administrator, Kurt Holm, for making this afternoon possible. His generosity, leadership, and the way he always puts our staff first never go unnoticed. From supporting us throughout the year to providing each employee and their family with a Christmas ham dinner, Kurt continues to remind us how fortunate we are to have him guiding our team.

We also want to give a heartfelt thank-you to Tammy, our HR Director, for all of her hard work behind the scenes. Tammy keeps everything running smoothly, supports our staff daily, and puts in countless hours to make sure events like this come together beautifully. Your dedication and commitment mean so much to all of us.

Here’s to a wonderful Christmas, a strong finish to this year, and an even brighter year ahead together.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Today, we are excited to announce a live Facebook drawing for a turkey and dressing giveaway. The prize includes:

- 1 whole turkey
- 1 pan of dressing
- 1 bottle of Tony Injectable Seasoning

Here are the details:

1. All staff members will be entered into the drawing.
2. The live drawing will take place today at 1 PM on the Elk River page.
3. Turkeys can be picked up in the kitchen starting today.
4. Winners will have until Monday at 3 PM to pick up their box. If not collected by then, the prize will be given to another staff member.
