When in doubt, sit them out. Whenever a concussion is suspected, an athlete should be removed from play and should not return to play on the same day. Continuing to play, or returning to play too soon, after a concussion increases the chances of sustaining another concussion. To learn more about Oklahoma’s concussion law and Return to Play Protocol, visit Oklahoma.gov/health/concussion.

Effective, routine screening is the best way to reduce your risk of colorectal cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends that people at average risk of colorectal cancer start regular screening at age 45. Increased or high risk may need to start earlier. Colorectal cancer screening is now easier than ever with different screening methods available; one option is an at-home test known as a f***l immunochemical test (FIT); FIT kits look for signs of cancer using a stool/f***l sample. Colonoscopy or Sigmoidoscopy are tests that are performed by a doctor, generally in an outpatient surgical setting. Colon cancer is highly treatable.
