We are a non-profit organization which has provided services to terminally-ill patients and their families since 1981. Cross Timbers hospice was founded by concerned citizens of Southern Oklahoma and remains an independent, community hospice. Our mission is to provide quality, faith-based hospice services that give those with terminal illnesses and their families the opportunity to live each day to the fullest, with choices and dignity, surrounded by a loving community of family and friends, regardless of their ability to pay. We are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people who have long-term and advanced illness, whether they live alone, with family or in a facility. It's about providing comfort, easing pain, listening, or sharing a smile. Cross Timbers Hospice affirms life and does not hasten the end of life. Cross Timbers Hospice care does not end at the time of a loved one's passing. Our bereavement services can help assess & monitor an individual's coping mechanisms & grief processes, allowing us to custom tailor care to their needs. We educate families on the normal grieving process & help guide them through utilization of existing support systems. Since staying connected during this time is so important, we provide frequent follow-ups through phone calls, visits & invitations to planned activities, special events & meetings for an opportunity to work through grief with others who are grieving. Bereavement support groups & activities will be offered throughout the year & are open to families served by Cross Timbers Hospice as well as the community.
