A lot of raising children is all about your self healing

It takes looking in, in order to raise healthy children

It's humbling as well.

Are you able to repair when you do have harder moments? Going back and apologizing to your child takes you setting aside your pride, which a lot of parents find it hard to do

So look within...How much self awareness do you have? Are you willing to do the work? Can you parent without being prideful?

Remember, God's got you. Parenting well is hard, but partner with Him and He will guide you. 🫶🏼

School is back in session 🎉🙌🏼

I wanted to share something that I have been sharing with most clients this week

So if you have a child/teen in your life, remember connection is key. You must work daily, in the small things to build connection

A great way to do so is asking useful questions about their day (see pic below)

Set expectations beforehand because we all know we are going to get eye rolls no matter what 😆

Expectation-"hey, because I love you, I care about your day so I am going to ask questions about your day."
This doesn't have to happen right after school, it can be at dinner time or whatever time works best 👍🏼

It's that time of year again!!! 🎉

Back to school came fast! 🏫🎒

Remember, with any transition it makes a world of difference if you are proactive and talk to your kids about what to expect in this season. Ask them what their concerns or fears are and what they are most excited about. Inform them as to what they can expect schedule wise etc...

I wanted to share this as I thought these were great to pray over your children for this time of year!

I've been in prayer on how I can help with the awful Texas Flooding tragedy

If you know anybody across the state that could use any support feel free to share this with them

The interest form (QR code to access) has the different ages and Info on it

I am gaging interest and will then come up with the specific evenings offered

I will also be donating 5% of each session in July towards the Kerrville flooding disaster relief

It's a process, parents, trust me

We have to give ourselves grace and just be aware of also healing ourselves

When it comes to kiddos, most things are caught not taught 👍🏼

So what could you start to do differently today to help not only grow yourself, but your child's emotional health too??
