Today is about remembering and honoring veterans, both past and present.

For some, Memorial Day can bring up grief, trauma, loneliness, and mixed emotions.

If someone you know is struggling today:
•check-in
•invite connection
•create space for rest and support
•encourage help and resources

Support doesn’t have to be perfect to matter. It just has to be present.

Today we are holding space for those grieving, remembering, serving, surviving, and healing.

Are you fighting with each other against the problems or fighting against each other about the problems?

The goal in conflict isn’t to win the argument. It’s to protect the relationship while working through the issue together. When couples stop attacking each other and start facing the challenge as a team, communication becomes safer, softer, and more productive.

We hope your Mother’s Day is filled with peace, joy, and celebration.

Mother’s Day is a celebration of all mothers:
-Pet moms
-grieving moms
-moms in waiting
-Bio-moms, adoptive moms, foster moms & step-moms
-Anyone who stepped up in mom roles

This Mother’s Day, take a moment to honor yourself and your journey. You are doing your best, and that is something to celebrate.

Today is National Renewal Day. It serves as a gentle reminder that starting over doesn’t require a perfect plan, just a willing moment.

Not every new beginning is loud or dramatic, sometimes it’s a small shift in how you speak to yourself, a pause to breathe, or a decision to try again. It can look like resting, setting a boundary, asking for help, or simply choosing to keep going.

The end of the school year can bring a lot of unhelpful thoughts, some emotions, and some behaviors. Whether it is due to excitement, anticipation, worry, or transition to a new routine, kids may not know how to handle everything that comes with the end-of-school.

In the playroom, identifying the unhelpful thoughts and the emotions that come with them is the first step. “I don’t belong”, “I can’t help it”, and “it’s too much” are thoughts that keep popping up,

Some things that parents can do to help are:
-Sticking to an after-school and summer routine
-modeling healthy coping skills when disregulated
-encouraging expressing their thoughts and emotions through play, art, or games.

Neither coping style is wrong, but both can hold us back. Therapy can help you choose instead of just react.
