Introducing our new hygienist, Lexi Shaw, RDH!!
We are extremely excited to welcome Lexi to Rogers Family Dentistry!!

My name is Lexi Shaw, and I was born and raised in Arkansas City, Kansas. I began my academic career at Cowley College, where I earned an Associate of Science degree, before completing my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at Wichita State University.

I am married to my husband, Jake, and we have a one-year-old son, Scottie. Growing up, Rogers Family Dentistry was my dental home, and the positive experiences I had there helped inspire my career in dental hygiene!

First day of school pictures are flooding FB and making all of us a bit sentimental and definitely grateful. To all our teachers and suppprt people the job you have is often under appreciated and under paid. The challenges to teach students with many challenges takes creativity and patience; love and perseverance. May our community step up to support you in everything you do…you hold our most precious resource…our children. Thank you and may this be the best year ever

If we seem a little sad this week it’s because Jessica Buckingham, our hygienist and friend, will be leaving this week. Her husband Brock is the new head coach at Pitt State and they will be calling Pittsburg, KS home. We can not say how sad we are for us but how happy we are for the Buckingham family. God Speed Jess and know we are truly excited for your family. We will announce our new staff member next week…

The community has been so lucky to have the Cowley Theater productions this summer. Please don’t miss this fun production with students selected from across the country to spend a summer internship here and perform. They have seen rural small town living for the first time and loved it (mostly 😁) but let’s show them that we appreciate great theater and their effort. This is a fun production packed with talent. We hope all of you will support the Cowley College and VJ Wilkins production of Frozen Jr. It’s full of local youthful talent. The dedication and hours of practice takes this a step beyond the normal “kid” show. You won’t be disappointed and the cast would love to see the theater full of support. Rogers Family Dentistry had so much fun last night at the Community Band Concert. Serving hot dogs and goodies to concert goers allowed us to see old friends, make new friends and of course enjoy the band. Ark City is so lucky to have all those that share their talents. Thank you to everyone that make this possible.

This is part of a collaborative effort between the dental and disabilities community in Kansas dedicated to improving access to dental care and expanding education on oral health for individuals with disabilities who rely on KanCare.
