When should you seek a surgical evaluation after trauma? Know the red flags and act fast. 🚨🩺

🚑 Go to the ER / call 911 immediately if: uncontrolled bleeding, exposed bone, limb bent or hanging oddly, trouble breathing, loss of consciousness/confusion, signs of shock (pale, dizzy, sweaty), severe head injury (vomiting, seizures).
🩹 Same-day surgical/urgent-care eval if: deep or dirty wounds, heavy swelling, severe pain or inability to use a limb, suspected open fracture, large burns, eye injuries, or wounds that won’t stop bleeding with pressure.
📅 See a surgeon within 24–72 hrs if: increasing redness, fever, draining wound, numbness/tingling, or ongoing pain/instability after an injury.
🧾 Quick tips for your visit: bring any X-rays/CTs or photos, list of meds, and someone to drive you home if needed.

When in doubt, get evaluated. It’s always better to be seen. ✅
