Arlington Pediatric Therapy

Arlington Pediatric Therapy APT is a pediatric clinic that provides speech-language, occupational, physical, & aquatic therapy services for the Chicagoland area.

We also provide social & feeding groups, parent support, free developmental screenings, & teletherapy services. We at Arlington Pediatric Therapy (APT) pride ourselves on improving the life of each child that comes to us. We utilize both traditional and innovative therapy methods, as well as a personal care that extends beyond textbook treatments. In addition, we extend our services to the whole family by offering support groups and education to family members. In order to be easily accessible to families with children with "Special Needs", the majority of APT therapists are Credentialed Early Intervention evaluators and providers with the State of Illinois. APT is also contracted with most major insurance companies and is a provider for the Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC).

Our office participated in a tiny duck hunt competition last week to get us through the last of our dark, and hopefully dreary, winter days. Department teams searched every nook and cranny of the clinic for tiny ducks cleverly hidden all around. A round of applause goes to the Speech Department for finding the most ducks!

Parents and daily caregivers often have a unique ability to understand emerging language and communication. It is often friends or extended family who are the first to notice concerns with potential speech delays.

Starting speech therapy early with a struggling child can build self confidence before frustration around not being understood impacts relationships with others and learning.

If you have questions or concerns with your child’s speech but unsure where to start, or wonder if speech therapy is appropriate for your little one; email Rebecca Williams, M.A., CCC-SLP rewilliams@luriechildrens.org
