Good morning!

Kelsey here from Running Iron Performance!

Today I wanted to share some of my favorite resources as a relatively new runner!

I was a huge yogi back in college and I loved the feeling of connecting to my breath to slow down heavy thoughts. Running can be as much of a mental game as it is physical so coming into my body before and after a run is so important to me.

I love Yoga With Adriene because she has a video for literally ANYTHING. It’s all so accessible and you can practice yoga within the comfort of your own home.

In this video I go through her 7 minute post run yoga video after a long run (don’t worry it’s been sped up 😂). Below in the comments I have a few of her videos as they relate to running!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Here to introduce some running-specific strength exercises is our head trainer, Patryk!

Pat will demo and walk through these three no-equipment-necessary moves to help runners build strength in their legs and core!

Pat recommends doing each exercise 10 times per side, and 30 seconds- 1 minute for the plank.

Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!

Come and join us June 2nd at 6:00 AM for a fun run on Global Running Day!

We will be having a pre-run warm up and post-run cooldown led by Patryk, our head trainer, as well as refreshments to help fuel your body post-run!

We are so excited to see you there! All ages and abilities welcome. Run distance will vary based on pace but we have a five mile route mapped out.

🎉BIG NEWS!🎉

Running Iron Performance has reserved a spot for the 2021 Hood to Coast Relay in Oregon! 🏅🏖️🏃⛰️

Our office staff will be participating but that leaves 7 open spots for our team. We want to open up our team to our patients and friends to participate in the Mother of all Relays with us!

This team will NOT be a competitive team, we are just going to have fun as a fundraising team for Providence Cancer Institute😁

If you're looking for an excuse to start up your training again, here is your chance!

We will be holding an informational session at our office to go into more detail and rally up runners for our team.

Please join us March 4th at 6:30 so we can go over individual responsibilities for runners and gauge interest in participating. Please RSVP to our facebook event so we can provide light refreshments for everyone.

We are excited for you to join us!
