📅 Health Unit Coordinator Recognition Week

This week, we celebrate the unsung heroes of healthcare — Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs) — the organizational backbone of every hospital unit.

From managing communication between care teams to coordinating discharge plans, HUCs play a crucial role in ensuring smooth transitions from hospital to home.

🏡 When patients are ready to leave the hospital, HUCs help connect the dots — ensuring timely referrals to:
👩‍⚕️ In-home nursing for continued medical care
💪 Physical therapy to rebuild strength and mobility
👐 Occupational therapy to regain independence in daily life
