About Michelle:
Michelle earned her Bachelors and Masters in Occupational Therapy at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. She has been practicing for 16 years and has a passion for working with children and helping to make their lives more meaningful; no matter what their challenges are. Her experiences are in both clinic settings and schools.
Her areas of interest and specialties include working with children who have difficulty with fine motor skills; specifically with handwriting. She has extensive training in the Handwriting Without Tears program. Michelle also has years of experience working with children who have feeding concerns, sensory processing difficulties and sleep challenges. She has vast experience in administering evaluations to really get to the core of the difficulties each child has and developing a plan to help them grow and strive to be the best version of themselves. Michelle prides herself on consulting with parents, building a strong rapport with her clients and going outside of the therapy room by attending IEP meetings and being an advocate for her client’s families.
Michelle is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, has extensive training in Handwriting Without Tears and training in Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment by Dr. Toni Linder. She also has her Early Intervention Evaluators Credential.
When Michelle is not working she enjoys being with her husband and two daughters who are ages 12 and 14. They enjoy taking long walks together and traveling, especially soaking in the sun at the beach.
