July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month! Now is the time to bring awareness to the everyday struggles that minority groups face when dealing with mental illness. Mental health conditions do not discriminate based on gender, identity, race, or color.

Anyone can experience mental illness regardless of their background, and everyone deserves compassionate care that feels supportive and safe. Together, we can listen, learn, and lead to create a more empathetic and supportive world.

Did you know that June is National Men’s Health Month? This event heightens the awareness of preventable health problems (physical and mental), and encourages early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. National Men’s Health Week is June 9th-15th, the week leading up to Father’s Day this year.

During Men’s Health Month, encourage the men in your family and social circles to support each other and take a proactive approach to their complete well-being! At Dynamic Direction Counseling, we make our clients feel safe and comfortable, providing the foundation for meaningful change and growth.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! šŸ’š We join the national movement to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and the need for understanding, support, and compassion. Mental health is just as important to maintain as physical health for our overall wellbeing. Together, let's break the stigma, engage in positive conversations, and prioritize self-care for everyone. It's okay not to be okay, and seeking help is a sign of strength. šŸ’Ŗ You are not alone! You got this and we got you! 847-463-1055

Since 1992, April has been designated Stress Awareness Month. Americans are more stressed than ever with politics, the economy, sports, academics, household and family needs, etc.!

Stress awareness doesn’t mean that we should fall down the rabbit hole and continue feeling horrible. It means we should be aware of the health effects from stress so we can make the right choices for ourselves and our family members.

Remember, your mental health matters, and taking positive steps to manage stress is a sign of strength and growth.

Take care of yourself (mind and body), take a break from the news, and talk to others (including your friends, family, and therapists!)

Take a deep breath because you’ve got this...and we’ve got you!!
Call us at 847-463-1055 or send us a message anytime!

By taking some time out for yourself and doing things that make you happy, you can feel more relaxed and reduce stress levels!

Parenting is hard work. Not only is it one of the most rewarding things we do in our lives, but it can also be very stressful and overwhelming. If you are feeling stressed/burned out, it is important to take care of yourself.

In addition, our clinicians have extensive knowledge to support parents adjusting to change as LGBTQ+, nonbinary, or BIPOC parents.

🌈

Parenting can keep you on your toes all day. But if you find it so physically and mentally draining you can't enjoy family time, it may be a sign of burnout. Here's what you can do about it.
