Many of the instructors that volunteer with Revitalize CPR are also part of the Strive to Save Lives Program (SSL). SSL is a North Texas American Red Cross program founded by youth leaders that delivers free First Aid/CPR/AED and First Aid for Severe Trauma (FAST) classes to youth, young adult, and adult volunteers in the North Texas region monthly at 3 locations and to participating Red Cross Clubs at high schools and colleges. SSL partnered with Revitalize CPR with the aim of expanding training, particularly in FAST, to high schoolers beyond those who were registered Red Cross volunteers. Recently, SSL instructors had the opportunity to train local coaches at the Cowboys Clinic, an event resulting from the coalition formed following the episode of cardiac arrest by Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin on field.
Today, during the North Texas Region Metro Area Chapter of the American Red Cross Annual Awards Ceremony, our dedicated volunteers were recognized for their exceptional efforts in aiding those in need and advancing the organization's mission. Rohan Jupelly, representing the SSL program, was honored with the Community Spirit Award, while Harsh*t Polavarapu received the Training Services Award. Moreover, we take immense pride in announcing that through the SSL program, over 450 individuals have been equipped with life-saving skills. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the instructors who have played a vital role in making this achievement possible. Moving forward, we remain committed to our mission of spreading awareness and providing life-saving skills to the community.
