St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - DMV St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital opened in 1962 and was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas. The mission of ALSAC/St.

Its mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and from around the world. Jude is to raise awareness and funds to support the life saving efforts being done at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the world's premiere research and treatment center for children with catastrophic illnesses.

Maryland Tri Delta Alana was able to visit campus in June with peers from colleges across the country. 💙💛

Here is what she had to say -> “Being part of this year’s Tri Delta Celebration for St. Jude was truly unforgettable. Visiting Tri Delta Place and seeing the direct impact we’re making on patients and families was incredibly powerful—it reminded me just how meaningful our chapter’s efforts are as part of a larger sisterhood. This mission holds a special place in my heart, as my sister was diagnosed with cancer at age four. While she wasn’t treated at St. Jude, the treatments that saved her life were made possible by the groundbreaking research St. Jude shares freely with hospitals around the world. Hearing stories from patients and families brought back so many emotions and made the experience even more personal and inspiring. Our chapter has had a strong start to fundraising, and I’m excited for what’s ahead. I’m proud to be part of something that brings real hope to kids and families who need it most.”
