Let’s Talk About the Kids
Our babies are hurting too—but they don’t always have the words to say it.

📱 They’re overwhelmed by social media
🏫 Stressed by school
🤯 Pressured by life
😶 And trying to figure out who they are

This month, check in with your child.
Ask more than “How was your day?”
Ask:
– “What made you smile today?”
– “What’s been feeling heavy?”

Their mental health matters just as much as ours.

Things that get mistaken for personality… but be straight-up trauma in disguise.

Let’s break it down real quick:

“Low maintenance” – That’s not peace, that’s someone who learned early not to have needs because needs got ignored or punished.

“So chill” – Nah, that’s emotional shutdown. When showing feelings wasn’t safe, numb became the norm.

The “funny one” – Humor became the shield. Making people laugh kept them from looking too deep… or doing too much.

“The strong one” – Not strength, just survival. Falling apart was never an option, so the breakdown got buried under a smile.

“Independent” – More like: trust issues in disguise. Depending on others felt like setting up for disappointment.

“Perfectionist” – That’s not ambition, that’s fear. Mistakes weren’t lessons—they came with consequences.

💭 Just a reminder: Not everything that looks like a personality trait is rooted in peace. Sometimes, it’s just a trauma response dressed up real cute.

Healing is unlearning. And that’s the real glow up. 💡✨
