Hey y’all… I want to share something real for a minute.

For the past 4 years, I’ve been dealing with digestive issues that have progressively gotten worse.
To the point where now, I can only tolerate a handful of foods—literally about four—because my body just cannot process things the way it used to.

And if you’ve ever experienced that… you know how frustrating, confusing, and honestly discouraging it can feel.

Last week, I finally had some testing done. I’ve received results from one test, and I’m still waiting on the other…

But for the first time in a long time, I’m starting to get answers about what’s going on with my digestive system.

And here’s the part that really got me…

It all ties back to hormonal changes during perimenopause.

Something that is not talked about enough.

My goal is to share a video later this week breaking this down—what I’ve been experiencing, what I’ve learned so far, and what you need to look out for.

Real talk for a second…

A lot of women think their workouts stopped working because they’re doing something wrong.

But that’s usually not the problem.

A lot of women are still trying to use the same approach on a body that no longer responds the same way.

Less sleep.
More stress.
Slower recovery.
Less muscle.
Different hormones.

And all of that changes how your body responds to movement, strength, and consistency.

Sometimes it’s not that your workouts stopped working.
It’s that your body may need something different now.

And more women need to hear that.

When I turned 42, I started noticing things in my body that I couldn’t ignore.

I was tired.

Workouts that used to feel manageable suddenly felt harder to get through.
I’d push through a workout and feel completely drained after.

Sometimes I’d wake up the next day feeling bloated, inflamed, and more exhausted than I did before I started.

And that was the moment I realized my body needed something different.

I’ve had to learn how to listen differently.
To move differently.
To support my body differently.

I no longer spend hours working out, rely on endless cardio, or assume doing more is what my body needs.

I move with more intention now, focus more on strength, and support my body in a way that actually feels better—and responds better too. 💜

I know it’s been a while since I’ve shown up on here consistently… life has been doing what life does.

But lately, I’ve been feeling called to step back into something that’s been on my heart for a long time.

I work with women 40+ who are noticing changes in their bodies—

May 2024 (188 lbs) ➡️ Recent (23 lbs lighter)
When I tell you it’s been a journey… whew.

As I’ve shared before, I gained 38 lbs and had no clue what was going on—until I found out I was perimenopausal. That diagnosis brought some clarity, but even with hormone cream, thyroid meds, eating clean, and exercising the weight just kept creeping up.

Everything changed when I joined a targeted nutrition program focused on balancing hormones. By the end of it, I had lost 17 lbs and more importantly, I gained back hope.

One of the biggest breakthroughs? Learning how food affects my body. I now understand what fuels me vs. what causes inflammation, bloating, or weight gain. That awareness has been a game changer.
