Deeply honored to be featured as one of Living Magazine's 2026 Leading Women. 🙏🏾

To be recognized alongside such incredible physicians and professionals serving our community is truly meaningful. This season feels especially significant as I step into a new chapter of intentionally planting roots here in Mansfield.

As a psychiatrist, it is a privilege to walk alongside children, adolescents, adults, and families during some of life's most vulnerable moments. I do not take that trust lightly.

Thank you to Living Magazine for this recognition and congratulations to all of the inspiring women featured this year. I am honored to be in your company. 👏🏾🎉

Still taking this all in!
I recently had the opportunity to celebrate the opening of my new practice in Mansfield, Texas surrounded by family, friends, colleagues, and longtime supporters who have been part of this journey along the way.

Creating this space has been something I’ve been building toward for a long time. My hope has always been to offer a practice that feels thoughtful, grounded, and supportive for children, teens, college students, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, high-pressure academic environments, and major life transitions.

It was incredibly special to share this moment with so many people who have encouraged and supported me over the years.

Deeply grateful for the community around me and excited for all that’s ahead.🙏🏾

Some patterns don’t start with us.
And sometimes, they don’t end with us either.

In this conversation with .therapydoll, we talk about generational patterns in Black mother-daughter relationships. The love, the strength, the expectations, and the things that often go unspoken.

Ahead of Mother’s Day, this felt like an important space to hold. Not just to reflect, but to better understand where we come from and how that shapes how we show up in relationships today.

There is so much nuance in these dynamics. And also, so much opportunity for awareness, healing, and intention.

You’re not missing questions randomly. There’s often a pattern.

In this conversation with Krisler Bailey, we talk about something I see all the time with students and physicians preparing for exams. The same types of questions keep getting missed, but it’s rarely about not knowing the content.

Sometimes it’s how the question is being interpreted.
Sometimes it’s rushing.
Sometimes it’s second-guessing.

When you start to look for patterns instead of just reviewing content, everything shifts. That’s where real progress starts.

Extended testing time can be incredibly helpful, especially if you have a plan for how to use it.

In this conversation with , we talk about how organizing your time during an exam can help you stay steady, focused, and less dependent on needing extra time to get through.

The goal isn’t just more time.
It’s using your time intentionally.

Because structure creates calm — and a plan can make all the difference in how you perform.

Using extended testing time early helps you build familiarity, confidence, and a steady approach — instead of trying to adjust under pressure later on.

and I talk about why using accommodations from the beginning can actually make exams easier.

A bad grade can feel bigger than it is.
In this conversation with , we talk about how to recover after a disappointing result and how quickly it can start to impact confidence and self-perception.

The goal isn’t to ignore it or push past it.
It’s to understand what happened, create a plan, and keep your identity separate from a single outcome.

Grateful for this conversation. đź’›

Reviewing your work isn’t just about catching mistakes, it’s a performance skill.

In high-stakes exams, it’s easy to rush, second-guess, or miss details when you’re under pressure.

In this conversation with , we talk about how building in time to thoughtfully review can help you slow down, catch patterns, and make more confident decisions.

Extended testing time is often misunderstood and sometimes underused. In this conversation with Elizabeth Hamblet, we talk about how to utilize extended time.

For many students, especially those navigating anxiety or attention differences, time pressure can interfere with recall, processing, and focus.
Using accommodations isn’t a weakness.

It’s a tool to help you show what you actually know.
Grateful for this important conversation!
