This past weekend, AFC’s Board of Directors came together for their annual retreat, exploring ways to strengthen our impact in the community, support our patients, and set the stage for our new 2027-2030 strategic plan.

Thank you to the Georgetown University Pre-Medical Society for hosting a recent food drive to benefit AFC patients! Your generosity helps ensure that families have access to nutritious food alongside the care they receive at the clinic.

This week, AFC CEO Lesley Daigle, Board Chair Tracy Donley, and volunteer physician Dr. Stuart Henochowicz joined the Virginia Association of Free & Charitable Clinics and nonprofit partners from across Virginia to advocate for increased support for free clinics. As healthcare costs continue to rise and community needs grow, Virginia's free and charitable clinics play a critical role in the healthcare safety net, ensuring access to care for those who need it most.

Thank you to our partners and advocates for standing with us, including AFC board member and State Delegate Patrick Hope, and everyone working to strengthen access to care across Virginia.
