Arlington Free Clinic would be nothing without its amazing volunteers! Our staff who work alongside them have a unique perspective on how their service impacts AFC and our patients. Each month, we highlight a volunteer nominated by one of our staff to honor their hard work. For October, Clare Hernandez, Communications & Development Manager, has nominated Gabriela Velez, Creative Media Volunteer.
Gabriela is an Emmy-winning bilingual journalist and multimedia producer who brings incredible creativity and heart to everything she does. She played a huge role in bringing our Gala video to life, including helping write the script, guiding our volunteers, and pulling together a beautiful story that will help our 750 guests connect with AFC’s mission. On top of that, Gabriela has been behind the scenes creating fun, engaging content for our social channels that makes our work shine. Clare nominated her because of her passion and vision for helping more people see the impact AFC has in the community.
