Domestic violence homicides in Tarrant County nearly doubled in 2024 - a heartbreaking reminder that the danger victims face is real and urgent.

Our CEO, Kathryn Jacob, spoke with Tahera Rahman and NBC DFW about what’s behind this rise and why collaboration across North Texas is critical to saving lives.

We’re sending a Texas-sized thank you to the Texas Rangers and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation for their incredible ongoing support of The Archway families! ⚾💜

Last week, the Rangers presented us with a generous check for $14,265 from a recent 50/50 Raffle — funds that will help domestic violence survivors find a future free from violence.

But their impact goes far beyond one game. From providing holiday gifts for families to packing meals and welcome baskets for our shelters, and SO much more, the Rangers continue to show up for survivors in big ways.

Thank you for being true teammates in creating a safer Tarrant County!

Eleven lives.

Eleven neighbors, friends, coworkers, relatives — all killed by an intimate partner in Tarrant County last year.

It’s the highest number we’ve seen since 2020.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we honor their memory and dedicate the 2024 Tarrant County Intimate Partner Violence Fatality Review Report to them and their loved ones.

May what we’ve learned help build a safer future for every survivor.

🎃 SOS! We’re short on Halloween costumes! 🎃

Halloween is just two weeks away and we still need a few more costumes to make sure every kiddo in our emergency domestic violence shelters gets to dress up and join the fun!

If you’d like to help, raise your hand below ✋ and we’ll send you our Amazon Wish List, OR you can drop off new costumes at our admin building (size 2T–teen).

Please keep in mind - no gory costumes or toy weapons, since many of our kids are healing from trauma.

Let’s make sure every kid staying in our shelters gets to feel the spooky magic of Halloween!

🌎 Please join us in congratulating our President and CEO, Dr. Kathryn Jacob, LMSW, on her appointment to the National Peace Corps Association Board of Directors! 🌎

Kathryn’s commitment to ending intimate partner violence began with her Peace Corps service in Turkmenistan (2000–01), where she founded women’s safety and rights groups. As a national expert in gender-based violence and nonprofit leadership, we know Kathryn will bring invaluable insight and advocacy to the NPCA community.

We’re so proud to see her continue to make an impact, both locally and globally!
