We’re thrilled to share that our own Dr. Lauri Jensen-Campbell, Executive VP of Research and Innovation, won the Best Academic Poster Award at this year’s Conference on Crimes Against Women!

Dr. Jensen-Campbell’s poster introduced the development of our Texas Assessment of Dominant Aggressor (TXADA), a tool designed to support safer, more informed responses to domestic violence calls. Her research focuses on helping law enforcement and criminal justice professionals better identify the primary aggressor in intimate partner violence (IPV) cases.

We’re so proud to see this important work recognized on a national stage and grateful for the impact it will have on survivors, families, and communities. Congrats, Lauri!

🎉 Please help us give a BIG welcome to Jill Hassmann, our new Chief Philanthropy Officer! She will lead The Archway’s fundraising and communications team as we expand our impact for survivors. 🎉

Jill is an accomplished nonprofit and healthcare foundation executive with extensive experience in leadership, governance, strategic planning, fundraising, and operations management. During her tenure with Parkland Health Foundation, she oversaw strategy and operations for a public hospital foundation raising $10–$15 million annually while managing a $5 million operating budget and supporting sustainable organizational growth. As a member of the executive leadership team, she helped establish strategic goals, fundraising priorities, and accountability measures that supported both the foundation and health system.

Jill managed more than 200 donor-restricted funds ranging from $35 million to $200 million, ensuring compliance, financial accountability, and timely support for hospital initiatives. She also led board governance and operational management while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture through mentorship and cross-functional leadership. Jill played a key leadership role in the historic I Stand for Parkland capital campaign, which secured $160 million for Parkland Health, and contributed to additional successful campaigns for the Simmons Ambulatory Services Center and The Moody Breast Health Center.

Outside of work, Jill enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

We are excited for the leadership, experience, and vision Jill brings to our team. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome to The Archway! 💜

Big conversations are happening about the future of domestic violence response, and The Archway is in the middle of them. 🗣️

A few weeks ago, our Chief of Staff, Michelle Arrington, and advocate Tracy Rector were in New Orleans for the End Violence Against Women International - EVAWI Conference, sharing two of our newest initiatives - TXADA and Expert Witness Guild - with professionals from across the country.

The response was incredible! It was powerful to see so many people eager to learn more about tools that have the potential to change how domestic violence cases are understood and handled nationwide.

What is TXADA?
The Texas Assessment of Dominant Aggressor (TXADA) is being developed by The Archway in collaboration with the RAND Corporation. This tool is designed to help law enforcement and the criminal justice system more accurately identify the dominant aggressor in an abusive relationship.

TXADA will include:
• A tool for officers responding on scene
• A tool for detectives and investigators handling cases

It’s currently in a nationwide research phase, with departments across the country helping test and refine it in real-world settings.

What is Expert Witness Guild?
In the courtroom, survivors often face harmful myths and misconceptions about abuse. The Expert Witness Guild exists to bring clarity and context when it matters most.

The Guild provides court-qualified experts for felony-level IPV cases in Tarrant County and beyond. These experts don’t advocate for either side - they help educate the court on the realities and complexities of abuse.
