Meet our wonderful patient, R. McNeal! 🌟 After undergoing a lumbar fusion and battling muscle weakness, she joined our rehab program on July 3rd, 2025. With the support of our dedicated therapy team, R. McNeal has made remarkable progress, moving from being unable to perform basic movements to now transferring independently with supervision. She’s on track to return home with assistance by August 14th, 2025. 🙌

Meet Jose Quintanilla, a true inspiration to all of us at Regency Care of Arlington! 🌟

Originally from El Salvador, Mr. Quintanilla came to us last year following a serious medical emergency that left him entirely dependent and nonverbal, with a tracheostomy. But today, one year later, we’re celebrating just how far he’s come!

With dedication, care, and resilience, Jose is now eating independently and communicating more effectively each day. He’s often spotted in his wheelchair, greeting everyone who walks by with a warm “hello.” His positivity is contagious, and he always reminds us how grateful he is to be in the care of our caring staff. 💙

We’re so proud of your journey, Jose. Thank you for being part of our Regency family!

Meet Lee Garner, a proud member of our Regency Care of Arlington family! At 67, Lee embodies quiet strength and kindness. Growing up in a lively home with seven siblings in Alexandria, he graduated from TC Williams High School in 1976, attended NOVA that summer, and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Army. 🇺🇸

He served as a wheeled vehicle mechanic and was stationed in Germany for two years.

After the Army, Lee worked with the City of Alexandria for a decade, all while raising his pride and joy, his beloved son and daughter. Whether he's watching a sports game (which is almost always!) or daydreaming about bass fishing, Lee is happiest surrounded by what he loves most.

“I like living at Regency because the staff treats me with respect and dignity,” Lee shares, and we’re honored to care for someone who has lived with such dedication and heart. 💙

Kidist began her healthcare journey in 2017 as a CNA and today proudly serves as an LPN. Originally from Nekemte, Wollega, Ethiopia, Kidist brings with her a deep-rooted cultural commitment to caring for others. Guided by her faith and love for nursing, she sees every patient interaction as a meaningful way to serve.

Meet Freddy Muriel, a beloved resident of Regency Care of Arlington for the past 7 years! 💙

Originally from Bolivia, Freddy moved to Arlington, VA, 45 years ago and spent much of his life working as a waiter in the DC area. Though his son and grandchildren still live in Bolivia, Freddy stays in close touch with them and cherishes their conversations. 📞

Here at Regency, Freddy is truly adored by both residents and staff. He’s always lending a hand, spreading kindness, and making others smile. When he’s not helping out, you’ll find him at his favorite spot in the back of the dining room, listening to his radio and enjoying a good Sudoku puzzle. 📻🧩

Freddy dreams of one day moving into his apartment and picking up a part-time job, and we’re all rooting for him every step of the way! 😍💫
