From Panic to Prepared: She Leads Workshop Recap!💪🏾⛑️

We were honored to partner with in joining the She Leads workshop hosted by nonprofit to empower our community with life-saving knowledge! Although the workshop series is generally geared towards the ladies, this FREE hands-on session gave its co-ed participants a quick but powerful look at emergency preparedness, including:

🌸 Allergy Recognition
💉 Epi-Pen Usage

✨Thankful Thursday ✨

Today, I’m grateful for growth and the power of being prepared. This week I became a Certified Stop the Bleed Instructor — and doing this training was a powerful reminder that in a bleeding emergency, every second counts. We ALL become first responders.

You don’t rise to the moment — you fall to the level of your training. Knowing what to do before you need it can be the difference between life and loss. That’s why I’m committed to teaching life-saving skills to everyday people — especially our youth, caregivers, and community leaders. Let’s stay ready — because moments matter. 🩸

🚨 Two years strong! 🚨

For the second summer in a row, Woods Work of Heart had the amazing opportunity to partner with Metro Sports Fieldhouse for their youth summer camp — and it was nothing short of a great time!

Yesterday, we proudly welcomed about 40 campers into the as they learned the power of Hands-Only CPR 🫀🙌🏾. From scene safety and calling for help to practicing high-quality chest compressions, these students didn’t just learn — they owned it!

We even brought the energy with a fun and competitive CPR relay 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️💨 that turned lifesaving into a team sport. Kids encouraging each other to save lives? That’s what it’s all about!

Major thanks to Coach Larry for consistently pouring into our community and using sports as a vehicle to teach real-life skills. We’re honored to be a part of the mission.

🫀 CPR AWARENESS WEEK 🫀

This week is all about empowering everyday heroes—like YOU—to step up and save a life. 💪🏾

More than 350,000 cardiac arrests happen outside of hospitals every year. That means someone you love, a neighbor, or even a stranger might need YOU to act fast.

💥 HANDS-ONLY CPR is simple:
1️⃣ Call 911 📞
2️⃣ Push hard and fast in the center of the chest—think of the beat to a song like “Stayin’ Alive”, “Rhythm Nation”, “Texas Hold’em” or “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”🕺🏾

No mouth-to-mouth. No equipment. Just your hands, your rhythm, and your courage. You ARE the help until help arrives.

This would be more than just a doll—this would be representation, education, and a whole vibe in one cute little package. One day, y’all… one day! 💕

Today, we celebrate the beauty, strength, and uniqueness of individuals with autism! Working in the high school Alternative Curriculum clinic last year opened my eyes to just how incredible, intelligent, and gifted these individuals truly are. Autism is not a limitation—it’s a different way of experiencing the world, and that’s something to be embraced and understood.

Let’s continue to educate, uplift, and create spaces where EVERYONE is valued and supported. Acceptance over awareness—because inclusion is everything! 💙🧩💙

Today is Epilepsy Awareness Day! 💜

A SEIZURE is a sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbance in the brain that can cause changes in behavior, movements, feelings, or consciousness. They can happen to anyone, and knowing how to respond can save a life!

If you see someone having a seizure, remember:
✅ STAY with them & keep calm. Time the seizure.
✅ KEEP THEM SAFE by moving them away from harm.
✅ TURN THEM ON THEIR SIDE to keep their airway clear.

🚨 Call 911 if:
• The seizure lasts more than 5 minutes.
• It’s their first seizure or they have trouble breathing.
• They’re injured, pregnant, or the seizure happens in water.

❌ DO NOT try restrain them or put anything in their mouth.

Let’s break the stigma and spread awareness. Knowledge is power! 💜
