Dr. Root had the opportunity to attend the Arlington County Medical Society’s recent panel discussion on GLP-1s and their growing impact on the practice of medicine.
A highlight of the evening was the meaningful impact beyond the discussion: ACMSF donated $16,000 to the Wakefield High School Education Foundation to fund scholarships for graduating students pursuing careers in medicine.

After being featured in a recent article by The Sporting News on Jayson Tatum’s Achilles injury and recovery expectations, Dr. Derek Ochiai continued the conversation with our foot and ankle specialist Dr. Matthew Buchanan. They discussed how Achilles repair techniques have evolved in recent years, and how those advancements are helping athletes return to play faster and stronger than ever.

Since its founding in 1974, the Nirschl Orthopaedic Center (NOC) has been consistently rated one of the top orthopedic and sports medicine centers in the Washington metropolitan area.
