Food might not be the first thing on your mind during brain tumor treatment but what you eat can make day-to-day life feel a little more manageable.

Treatment side effects like nausea, fatigue, and appetite changes can make meals feel harder than they used to. That’s why simple, realistic nutrition choices matter — not to be perfect, but to help support your energy, strength, and healing while your body is going through a lot.

In this post, we’re breaking down:
🥦 foods to add
⚠️ foods to limit
✨ side effect-friendly tips for the hard days

It’s easy to brush things off when life is busy. A weird stomach week. A change in the bathroom patterns. Being tired all the time. Something that technically could be nothing and are easy to brush off.

But colorectal cancer doesn’t always come in loud, dramatic symptoms — sometimes it starts with quiet ones that are easy to explain away.

If something feels off — changes in bowel habits, blood in or on your stool, stomach discomfort that won’t quit, fatigue that’s out of nowhere, or unexplained weight loss — you deserve to get it checked out.

Read the full article for early warning signs and when to talk to your doctor: https://www.inspire.com/resources/cancer/colorectal-cancer-symptoms-early-signs/

And if you’re living with colon cancer (or supporting someone who is), Inspire’s online support community is here. It’s a place to ask questions, share what you’re dealing with, and hear from people who genuinely understand.

If your migraines feel like they show up on a schedule… it might be hormonal.

Hormonal migraines are often tied to estrogen shifts, which can lower your migraine threshold—especially during:
🗓️ your cycle
🤰 pregnancy
🔥 perimenopause + menopause

That’s why triggers that feel “fine” one week (sleep, meals, lights, stress) can hit way harder the next.

👉 Read the full blog for a deeper breakdown of why hormonal migraines happen + what you can do to manage them: https://www.inspire.com/resources/migraine/hormonal-migraines-why-they-happen-and-what-you-can-do/

Choose your fighter 🎮
…but if you can’t tell who you’re fighting, you’re not alone.

Anxiety often looks like racing thoughts, restlessness, sleep trouble, physical stress symptoms

Depression often looks more like heaviness, low energy, numbness, loss of interest, difficulty concentrating

And a lot of people experience both at once — feeling nervous and drained, overwhelmed and stuck.

If you’ve been trying to figure it out, we wrote a full breakdown that helps you identify the differences, plus what to do next if it’s interfering with your sleep, relationships, or ability to enjoy life.

If you’ve ever felt like your symptoms were real but the answers weren’t coming—you’re not alone.

For people living with CIDP, getting a diagnosis can take years. Before answers come uncertainty, misdiagnoses, and being told to just wait and see.

So what’s actually behind diagnosis delays? And how common is this experience? We dug into patient stories and data to explore why.
