CORONOVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE: - APRIL 3, 2020
To all our Valued Patients, Family and Friends,
First, we’d like to thank all of our patients for your kind words of support, understanding and patience over the past weeks. Many of you have reached out to us via email and its always a pleasure hearing from you all. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented time.
We understand that many of you have been wondering when we will be resuming our services. Dr. Puri and I want to assure you, we are, and have been, looking at numerous options. We understand that many of you rely on our services for your relief of your musculoskeletal pain.
As of today, we are planning to reopen with some very limited hours on the week of April 13th, 2020 to satisfy our patients that are in need of care. Of course, we have been continuously reviewing our office safety protocols and feel we have a comfortable solution in place which would adhere to all current guidelines issued by the CDC, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Board of Registration of Chiropractors.
In addition, we are looking into a Telehealth option as an alternative way for ChiroCare and us to virtually connect with you during this time. If you have a concern or worsening symptom, we would be able to connect virtually to discuss this and see what we can offer to help.
If you are interested in either of these two options (office visit or telehealth), we are asking that if you could please email us at info@chirocarearlington.com as soon as possible with your name and your preference (one or both) so that we may gauge demand, plan and adjust the schedules.
ChiroCare will be implementing the following procedures as protective measures to reduce transmission:
1. Office hours are temporarily being modified to limit patient and provider traffic:
A) Appointment will be scheduled with less frequency to lessen flow of patients through our office
B ) Administrative staff will be working from home thus lessening any unnecessary person-to-person contact. All scheduling, questions and calls will be handled by our office staff off site.
C) Only 1 chiropractor will be working on each specific day and there will be no other patients from any of our other staff members scheduled during these days.
Dr. Puri’s patients will be scheduled on Tuesdays
Dr. K*m’s patients will be scheduled on Wednesdays.
2. General and treatment areas will be sanitized with hospital grade disinfectants between each patient encounter.
3. Any patients that are exhibiting any symptoms of cold or flu like sickness in the past 14 days (especially cough or fever) will be rescheduled.
4. Any patients that have been in close contact with anyone who has been confirmed or suspected with COVID-19 will be rescheduled.
5. All patients are encouraged to wait in their cars or outside our office before their appointment. Patients will receive a call or text 5 minutes before the appointment to enter the office.
6. All patients will be directed to wash their hands before entering the office.
7. Patient temperatures along with other screening measures will be performed prior to treatment
8. Patients are encouraged to wear a protective mask (if they have one) to their appointment.
9. Patients will be escorted through and out of the office during the appointment to limit unnecessary contact with the office area.
In addition, we’d ask you to follow us on our page for any updates. We will post any updates on Facebook in addition to directly sending emails to you. We were in the process of switching over to a new Website and platform before this pandemic hit and will finish that project once things return back to some sort of normalcy.
Again, thank you for your loyalty, understanding and patience! Feel free to email us with any questions. We will continue to update you as best we can and we hope to start treating you soon!
Best wishes and stay healthy,
Dr. Robert K*m
Dr. Keith Puri
