The Arlington Center is a lovely, spacious setting for in-depth yoga and meditation practice at all ages/levels. The Center offers yoga in many styles including classical, Iyengar, vinyasa, Yin, gentle and senior yoga, as well as Buddhist insight meditation both in classes and non-residential retreats. The Center also provides a broad range of wellness & healing practices including therapeutic massage, zen shiatsu, Reiki, Feldenkrais, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, reflexology, life and relationship coaching, and spiritual counseling. The Center features a wide array of weekend workshops on yoga, meditation, psychology, wellness, dance, movement and relationship. It also produces the acclaimed Dharma Film Series and hosts monthly kirtans with Shubalananda Larry Kopp. Details at www.arlingtoncenter.org. The work of the Center's founding director, Chip Hartranft, explores the common ground of yoga and Buddhism. Chip is the author of The Yoga Sutra of Patanjali: A New Translation with Commentary (Shambhala) and has taught yoga and mindfulness in the Boston area since 1980. Chip is an adjunct professor of Buddhist studies in Lesley University’s graduate Mindfulness Studies program.
