The psychotherapeutic treatment of EMDR was initially designed and used to treat the issues associated with traumatic memory, and proved highly successful in treating PTSD and issues related to both single event trauma (e.g. car accident, sexual assault) and long term trauma (e.g. childhood abuse). In addition to traumatic event-related traumas, EMDR has also been proved effective with other issues, such as Panic Attacks, Phobias, Performance Anxiety, Athletic Performance, Self-esteem, Addictions, Depression and Co-dependency. Susan is trained in both levels of EMDR and is an active member of the EMDR International Association.
