🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of FORMula Fitness

Today marks a milestone I’m incredibly proud of: a full decade of serving, supporting, and cheering on women as they get strong, confident, and transformed inside and out.

🫶🏽A place for every journey:
FORMula Fitness started with a simple belief: fitness is for everyone. I welcome you — no matter where you’re starting from or what your current fitness level is. This studio has always been a safe, supportive space where you can show up as you are, put in the work, and witness real change.

📅 Ten years of changing lives:
I’ve stood by my clients through triumphs and trials, celebrated milestones big and small, and watched them redefine what it means to be strong. I’ve empowered countless women to move with purpose, to push past limits, and to own their strength. The transformations aren’t just in bodies — they’re in confidence, mindset, and daily resilience.

🤩 The joys and the struggles:
Owning a small business comes with its share of joys and its fair share of challenges. There have been early mornings and late nights, budgets stretched thin, and moments where the path wasn’t crystal clear. There have been hard decisions, pivots, and imperfect timelines. Yet through every high and low, the core has remained the same: a commitment to my community and to the mission we share.

The joy? Watching clients show up, put in the work, and surprise themselves with what they can achieve. The struggle? Navigating growth, staying true to my values, and remembering why I started in the first place — to help women feel powerful, capable, and alive in their bodies.

And the reward? The most rewarding thing I have ever done. Seeing clients gain strength, reclaim time for themselves, and build communities that lift each other up is indescribable.

🌟 **Meet Your New Best Friend: The Elevated Psoas March!** 🌟

Ladies, tired of feeling like a stiff marionette? Say hello to the psoas march — your secret weapon for better posture, hip mobility, and maybe even a little extra spring in your step! Plus, it’s so simple, you can do it in your pajamas. 😉

**Why do the psoas march?**
- Boosts core stability (hello, flatter tummy!)
- Improves hip mobility (goodbye stiffness)
- Supports lower back health (because ouch is not your vibe)
- Keeps you feeling fabulous and functional!

**How to do it (with Melissa’s elevated heels and band around her feet):**
1. Lie on your back, with your heels elevated (on a small block or cushion) and the band around your feet.
2. Keep your knees bent and core engaged.
3. Lift one knee toward your chest, keeping tension on the band.
4. Lower it back down, then repeat with the other leg.
5. Aim for 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps — easy peasy!

**Who benefits?**
If you’re middle-aged, feeling a bit “meh” in your hips or back, or just want to stay moving comfortably, this exercise is your new bestie.

Why swap pasta for spaghetti squash? Let me count the ways!👇

For one, this winter squash is in season right now and packed with nutrients like vitamin C and B vitamins.

The best part? When you cook and shred spaghetti squash, it “magically” transforms into a delicious noodle alternative!

If you’re focusing on clean eating, spaghetti squash is a great addition to your meals.

Second, it’s easy to prepare!

All you have to do is…
👉 Slice it in half
👉 Scoop out the seeds
👉 Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt, and roast for 40-45 minutes

Then scrape out the strands with a fork and serve with your favorite sauce. Perfect for cozy, winter meals!

Ever let perfectionism get in your way of starting something new? 🙋‍♀️

When it comes to getting back into shape, it’s easy to get caught up in overthinking.

You see tons of tips on social media…

You hear lots of different advice from friends and family…

And if you’re not careful, you can end up stuck, waiting for the “perfect” time or plan to begin.

But here’s the thing…

Consider that you just need to START.

My clients always tell me they wish they had started sooner.

Even small steps like going for a 10-minute walk can create a ripple effect of progress over time!

Time will pass anyway…

It’s thinking that sticking to the same routine will keep delivering results.

If your goal is increasing your strength small adjustments can lead to big improvements over time.

That means paying attention to what your body is telling you and making changes when needed — without feeling like you have to overhaul everything at once.

Because in the long run?

It’s those little tweaks that create lasting results.

Take this as your sign to listen to your body and make the changes that will support your progress!
