A few years ago, Stilly Chamber of Commerce presented at their Monday Member Meet- Dr. Brian L Murray at Arlington Vision Therapy.

"All through the year, you will find Stilly Valley Chamber Member Dr. Brian Murray, involved both in the community and in his business, Arlington Vision Therapy. But this October Brian transforms into Jamison Ravenhurst for his role in the Arlington Community Haunted House, as the Father who misguidedly tries to provide friends for his daughter for her birthday party.

The Haunted House transforms his home and business into a Mansion from the past, as the Haunted House raises funds in support of community groups.

Arlington Vision Therapy specializes in Family Eye Care, Vision Therapy, and Sports Therapy.

So we asked, why would you turn your Business and Home into a Haunted House?

"Arlington Vision Therapy has always been looking for ways to give back to our community!

For over 20 years now, we have participated in events in our community such as our Arlington Lion's Club as well as our Scout Troops in Arlington.

When Jackie Murray, our daughter wanted to start the Haunted House to raise money for her JROTC Club, we as parents, supported Jackie's goals. We see that it brought our families together as well as our community.

Arlington Vision Therapy uses this platform to teach young volunteers skills that will be needed in the workplace. These kids have better self-esteem about themselves. We have written many letters of reference for our volunteers when they are of age to go into the workforce. We network to help young folks find decent jobs. Our young volunteers bring their families in to help with project building our July 4th Float and our HH set.

We have seen and witnessed this growth in our Jackie Murray."

What is your favorite part of Vision Therapy?

My favorite part of vision therapy is to see these kids' self-esteem soar by improving their visual skills and eye-hand coordination in their weekly visits. I love seeing them doing well in sports which helps as well with their academics while they are in Vision Therapy.

What does being a part of the Arlington Community mean to you?

"Doing my part by helping my community and referring my patients using specialists locally."

A parent commented on his FB Post after he took his family to The Arlington Community Haunted House! πŸ‘ΎπŸ€–

This family came earlier during the day for "no scare" time from noon til 5 pm. 🌺

ACHH were pleasantly surprised to see this dad and his son returns at night!😯 They went thru the Kid's Friendly mode and then got back in line to do the full on scary mode! 😱

The director, Jackie Murray read his FB Post to her volunteer artists, builders and actors. β™₯️🌺 πŸ‘

"This is a Haunted House community that is oozing with creativity. A lot of love goes into the haunt and it shows. We first discovered ACHH last year and it has become a family tradition this time of year. My son and I enjoyed the 2024 iteration so much that we went through twice! I highly recommend checking them out."

Text Jackie at 425 478 2335 for scheduling and prices.🌺
ACHH Opens Tue - Sat (noon-5pm for walk thru picture tour) ; 6-10pm kids' friendly and Full scare mode ACHH Closes Sundays and Mondays.

It is time! Volunteers needed 12 + up! If you can dance, we need parade dancers! Please DM Jackie Murray if your interested and/ or fill out the volunteer registration!

Jackie Murray started the Arlington Community Haunted House (ACHH) when she was a Sophomore in HS to to save the JROTC Club at our local HS.

As a mode of advertising for their HH Jackie and her team put together flyers, dancers, and a float to walk in the Arlington July 4th Parade every year since they open.

ACHH has been sponsored by Arlington Vision Therapy (AVT).

She uses this platform yearly to bring seasoned craftsman's and artisans to come and teach 12 year olds volunteers and up to build floats, sets for the theme of the HH that year.

When it's time for these young kids to find a job, their sponsor, Arlington Vision Therapy (AVT), writes a letter of recommendation for them. AVT has been their main reference to use as these youth transition to our working world as young adults.

Our new pride and joy is Emma M. who volunteered as a makeup artist and an actress. Emma M just sold her third house as a Real Estate Agent at the age of 20.πŸ’œπŸŒΊ

Til this day Emma still volunteers to teach other young volunteers some valuable skills.🌺

ACHH also raise funds to help a lot of these young volunteers and local clubs in Arlington. This year, ACHH plans to raise funds for Faith Yeakley's church mission.🌺

With a nudge from our Mayor, Jackie and her volunteers come together every year to brainstorm for their next adventure.

Please feel free to visit Arlington Community Haunted House page and learn more about our youth and what they are doing.

My favorite part about this program is seeing great talents from our novice volunteers on displayed through out the HH and seeing their float dance routine! These are great kids to work with. πŸ’œπŸŒΊ
