The DTA is thrilled to welcome Rachel Spivey as our new Director of Government Affairs!
Rachel will lead engagement on issues impacting the oral health and manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining the DTA, she spent nearly four years at Michael Best Strategies, where she advanced from Policy Analyst to Policy Advisor, supporting clients through legislative research, trade policy analysis, congressional engagement, and strategic communications. During her time at Michael Best Strategies, she managed policy teams and client communications while developing expertise in federal policy and government relations.
Rachel is also deeply committed to leadership development and civic engagement. She served as a Bryce Harlow Foundation Fellow while completing her graduate studies and has participated and volunteered with national political conventions and Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital.
Rachel holds a BA in Political Science from Framingham State University and an MA in Government from Johns Hopkins University.
Rachel is available as a resource for DTA members on Congressional engagement opportunities. Whether you are planning a visit to Washington, DC, coordinating Congressional meetings, or interested in inviting a Member of Congress to tour your facility, Rachel can help support those efforts.
