Yesterday I experienced my first Aroma Touch Therapy by KEEP IT SIMPLE with Brenda Tanner.
I arrived with a stuffed nose, stomach trouble, fatigue, achy neck & back. My nose cleared up before I left, and my stomach trouble stopped, but all else was the same…….
UNTIL THIS MORNING!
I woke up feeling rejuvenated! My neck & back feel great today too! I’m very apprehensive when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I can honestly say I’m a believer now!

Quinoa is so good for us. Not only is it high in protein, it's also one of the few plant foods that contain all nine essential amino acids.

Check out this easy recipe for quinoa vegetable soup:

1/4 cup quinoa rinsed
1/2 cup carrots diced
1/4 cup celery diced
2 tablespoons onion chopped
1 green pepper chopped
2 cloves of garlic chopped
2 teaspoons olive oil
4 cups water
1/2 cup tomato chopped
1/2 cup cabbage chopped
1/4 parsley chopped
salt and pepper to taste

Saute quinoa, carrots, celery, onion, green pepper, and garlic in oil till softened. Add water, tomato, and cabbage, Bring to a boil. Simmer 20 to 30 minutes or until tender. Season to taste, and garnish with parsley. For variations add other vegetables chopped and sauteed. Enjoy!

Green Berry Protein Shake

8 oz almond milk
3 scoops protein shake mix
2 cups fresh or frozen berries
2 scoops powdered green mix or a large handful of fresh greens such as kale or spinach
2 drops ginger essential oils

This healthy avocado salsa is the PERFECT summertime snack, and a great distraction from this heat 😅

6 medium roma tomatoes
1 cup chopped red onion
1 large or 2 small jalapenos chopped ( leave seeds if you like heat)
3 medium avocados ripe peeled, cored and diced
3 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup chopped cilantro

Add in a mixing bowl red onion, diced tomatoes, jalapenos, and avocados. Add in the rest of the ingredients and enjoy!

Good Morning !!!
Here in Texas it 30 degrees brrrr! I am looking at the temp in Idaho where my son is headed and they are actually warmer at 33 degrees. Still brrrr!! Yet where my cousins are in the New England area it has been like 4 degrees still way too cold!!! I bring that up to say I would like everyone to stay warm if they are in the cold areas. With the thoughts of staying warm I would like to share a warm soup recipe with you....
This is a Barley Minestrone Soup

Ingredients: 8 servings
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large yellow onion
2 stalks celery diced
5 carrots chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 28 oz can tomatoes with juice
1/3 cup whole barley
1 bay leaf
1 16 oz can kidney beans, drained ( or fresh kidney beans soaked and drained)
6 cups chicken stock
1 pound fresh green beans cut into 1 inch pieces

In a 6qt pot, saute onion, celery, carrots and garlic in oil until softened. Add stock, tomatoes, barley and bay leaf. Bring to a boil and cover, reducing heat to simmer for 50 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in kidney beans and green beans. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes more until all veges are tender.
