Say hello to our fall extern, Rafael! He’s joining our Arlington team to gain hands-on experience and learn the ins and outs of eye care.

Rafael Martinez is a fourth-year optometry student at the Southern College of Optometry, completing his clinical rotation at our practice. He is passionate about patient-centered care with a strong interest in ocular disease. Rafael has been actively involved in service through RAM and SVOSH clinics, where he has worked to expand access to quality eye care in underserved communities. He is also pursuing an MBA to strengthen his understanding of practice management and the business side of optometry.

Rafael is dedicated to building a career rooted in clinical excellence, compassion, and community impact. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children and staying active.
