My hope for the world is that people actually practice the concepts of Buddhism ๐๏ธ & Spirituality themselves, ah what a different world we would live in.
Today, the Walk for Peace Reaches Its Final Destination โ Washington, DC
Today, this sacred 2,300-mile journey reaches its final physical destination in Washington, DC โ but the spirit of this walk is only growing stronger.
Everyone is warmly invited to stand with the monks during these final, deeply meaningful days โ February 10 and 11, 2026 โ as they arrive in the nationโs capital and gather in the name of peace, compassion, and unity.
For over 2,300 miles, these monks have walked not for recognition, not for comfort, but as living symbols of non-violence, discipline, and boundless compassion. Step by step, they carried a silent message the world urgently needs: Peace is not spoken. Peace is lived.
Walking beside them has been Aloka โ the Peace Dog of the Walk for Peace ๐พ
A quiet symbol of loyalty, trust, and unconditional love. Aloka reminded thousands along the journey that peace is not only a human responsibility โ it is a shared heartbeat among all living beings.
These days are open to all who wish to witness, walk alongside, or simply stand in quiet presence. Full schedules and exact locations for the Washington, DC events will be shared soon through official accounts.
A special and heartfelt invitation is extended to venerable monks and nuns from all Buddhist traditions. The Walk for Peace team respectfully invites monastics to join this historic final gathering โ walking and standing together in a shared spirit of unity, compassion, and global peace. Monastics are encouraged to register in advance so preparations can be made with care and respect.
