Myth: Gas Furnace is the Most Expensive Heating System

Fact: Yes; gas furnaces are indeed more expensive than a few other heating systems such as an electric furnace however, this only applies to the installation stage. When it comes to the heating power, coupled with the lower cost of natural gas, it still doesn’t make it the most expensive option. If you have natural gas lines running to your home, you’re good to go!

Keeping the lights on constantly won’t reduce your energy costs. Instead, you’ll lower your electricity costs by turning the lights off when you aren’t using them.

Myth: You Don’t Have to Prepare for the Heating Season

Fact: There are a few things you need to do each season before using your heater. You should have routine maintenance performed regularly, plus you should check to make sure the components are working correctly, ensure the HVAC unit outside is clear, and test the system in advance of using it.

Myth: TANKLESS WATER HEATERS REDUCE WATER PRESSURE.

Reality: False. If you’re experiencing low water pressure with a tankless water heater, it’s likely you have the wrong model for your household’s water usage or flow rate. When properly installed, a tankless water heater will produce hot water within 2 degrees of the set temperature. Water pressure is only restricted to achieve that temperature when the model is not adequate to keep up with the difference in pressures.
